A structured, savoury Pinot Noir from our founding Eyrie Vineyard.
Hand harvested from one of the smallest parcels on our founding Eyrie Vineyard in the Waihopai Valley, then whole-bunch co-fermented and left on skins for extra depth. Aged mostly in older French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered, it's a structured wine with natural balance and very fine tannins, made to age for a decade and beyond.
Tasting notes
- Nose: Dark fruits.
- Palate: Dark fruit carries through, joined by plenty of savoury character and extremely fine tannins. Benefits from time to breathe, so consider decanting.

Venison with a red wine jus, braised beef cheeks, or aged Gouda.
