A single-vineyard Chardonnay, crafted barrel by barrel.
Hand-harvested from one vineyard in Marlborough's Lower Waihopai Valley, this special release is made from only the very best barrels in the batch. Wild fermented and aged nine months in oak, it's intense, opulent and built to reward a little patience in the cellar.
Tasting notes
- Nose: Delicate perfumed spice, white stone fruit, nectarine and roasted hazelnut.
- Palate: Intense and opulent, with savoury ripe stone fruit and oyster shell, and a hint of cinnamon spice leading to a long, toasty finish.
Food match
Roast chicken with lemon and thyme, pan-fried snapper in brown butter, or a creamy mushroom risotto.
