Wake up and smell the Rosé
Our Lake Chalice Sparkling Rosé & Falcon Rosé are both gleaming Gold in the latest edition of Dish magazine.
We are pleased to announce that two Lake Chalice Rosé wines have been awarded Gold Medals in the recent Dish Magazine Rosé tasting. With Spring in full swing and longer summer days just around the corner, now is the best time to try one (or both) of our delicious Rosé wines.
Our new Lake Chalice Sparkling Rosé is the perfect accompaniment for celebrating, this charming wine is fresh lively, with an abundance of ripe Strawberry and Raspberry flavours, and a dry, mouth-watering finish. For us, Sparkling Rosé is about fun. It’s long summer evening, long lunches, endless sun, sea spray in your hair. Made seriously for serious fun.
These two Pinot Noir Rosé wines have come from separate areas of the same vineyard, it is amazing to see how such similar proximity can produce such a difference in flavour profiles. When crafting these wines, we were searching for individuality in terms of how we wanted each of these wines to express themselves.
“It’s amazing to see how each of these wines developed during fermentation and subsequent blending, with both wines touching on different aspects of the Rose style of wine.” – Chloe Gabrielsen Lake Chalice Winemaker
Here is what Dish Magazine had to say about our two wines in their latest magazine:
“If you’re looking for a refined, stylishly-built, finely-tuned blend of delicate florals, red berries and creamy nutty notes then look no further than right here. Dry, beautifully balanced and supremely satisfying”.
“Words like “lifted”, “vibrant”, “fun”, and “clean” peppered the judges notes in this juicy, highly floral, cranberry and melon-saturated Marlborough rosé. Soft herbal notes add to its complexity and a deliciously chalky texture injects more excitement into the finish”.
